History of GES

Our association, the Green Earth Environmental Care Association (GES) was founded by Mr. P. Sivakumar in 2013.

The Green Earth Environment Association (GES) was established in 2013, a body of NGOs carrying out various activities related to environmental ecosystem care in the state of Johor. The objective of GES is based on the core importance of providing information and knowledge on the importance of maintaining, protecting, and conferring the environmental treasures we have today so that they can be enjoyed together by future generations.

Among the activities that GES has been running from 2015 until now are:-

I. Planting of mangrove trees, rhu and others in the state of Johor.
II. Releasing fish seeds into the Johor rivers to increase the income of fishermen.
III. Release the oysters into the river to restore the quality of river water.
IV. Environmental care forums.
V. Forum "What is Johor Comment in Effort to Protect and Preserve its Forest"
VI. Science Week Program at Johor state schools.
VII. Water Conservation camp; Waste Materials programme to Potted Plants at Johor state schools.
VIII. DRH20 Program: GES is working with GEC for the southern zone.
IX. The "River Care" programme, which also highlighted the issue of dengue towards the population.
X. Make mud balls "EM Mudball" (from EM technologies that use natural microorganisms to clean water and restore aquatic life) and release them into the Johor rivers.

Pertubuhan persatuan kami iaitu Persatuan Penjagaan Alam Sekitar Bumi Hijau (GES) telah diasaskan oleh

Encik P. Sivakumar pada tahun 2013. Persatuan Penjagaan Alam Sekitar Bumi Hijau (GES) telah ditubuhkan pada tahun 2013, merupakan satu badan NGO yang menjalankan pelbagai aktiviti yang berkaitan dengan penjagaan ekosistem alam sekitar di negeri Johor. Objektif GES ditubuhkan adalah berdasarkan teras kepentingan memberikan maklumat informasi serta pengetahuan berkaitan kepentingan menjaga, melindungi serta memulihara khazanah alam sekitar yang kita miliki pada hari ini agar ia dapat dinikmati bersama oleh generasi akan datang.

Antara aktiviti-aktiviti yang telah GES jalankan dari tahun 2015 sehingga sekarang adalah:-

I. Penanaman pokok bakau, rhu dan lain-lain di negeri Johor.
II. Melepaskan benih ikan ke dalam sungai-sungai Johor untuk menambahkan pendapatan nelayan.
III. Melepaskan tiram ke dalam sungai untuk memulihkan kualiti air sungai.
IV. Forum penjagaan alam sekitar.
V. Forum “What is Johor Commitment in Effort to Protect and Preserve its Forest”
VI. Program “Science Week” di sekolah-sekolah negeri Johor.
VII. Program “Water Conservation & Waste Materials to Potted Plants” di sekolah-sekolah negeri Johor.
VIII. Program DRH20: GES berkerjasama dengan GEC untuk zon selatan.
IX. Program “River Care” yang turut menekankan isu denggi terhadap penduduk.
X. Membuat bola lumpur “EM Mudball” (daripada EM teknologi yang menggunakan mikroorganisma semulajadi untuk membersihkan air dan memulihkan kehidupan akuatik) dan melepaskan ke dalam sungai-sungai Johor.
